PHEW!  I have finally finished editing Roxy & Shaun's spectacular freak show circus affair!  And Part TWO is here!!

I know a lot of you really enjoyed looking at the photos from their epic wedding day, so you can imagine how much I enjoyed shooting it and being right up close to all the action for the whole day.

I recently attended a friends wedding as a guest.  For the first time ever.  It was in my backyard!  It was on the day that Cyclone Lusi was due to appear and for that reason alone I was semi-glad to be not photographing it!  It was beautiful - the weather held off and they had a great time.  For so long I had wanted to just be a guest at a wedding.  But it made me realise something - I'm extremely spoiled when I photograph weddings.  I get to see every part of the whole day!  I usually start with the boys getting ready.. then I get to capture and experience the build up to the peak of the day - the ceremony... and then I get to joke and laugh and have fun with the Bridal party and the Bride and Groom.. and then head back to capture people having more fun and partying!  What more could you ask for?!  Ok, I don't get to relax and drink and eat like a wedding guest, but I thrive on the pressure, the excitement, the nerves (generally the Brides, not mine!), the emotion, the moments, and of course the thrill of going through the photos the next day and knowing they're going to be looking at these photos for years and years to come..

Anyway.  I'm super happy to have been a guest at one amazingly beautiful, summery, gorgeous wedding.  But I'm hanging up my guest hat (don't get me wrong, I won't be RSVP'ing any "No's" if I'm invited!) and I'm taking advantage of the privileged opportunity to photograph wedding amazingness for anyone that chooses me.

Roxy & Shaun chose me.  And I'm so glad.  A day never to be forgotten.

Just in case you missed part ONE - it's here: Roxy & Shaun - part ONE

So here is Part two - enjoy!

Group love!

The girls got matching seeing-eye tattoos the day before the wedding

Tarot card reading!

They also had a tattoo booth set up - you could spin the wheel and then choose from a selection of small but memorable tattoos!  It was very popular and ran until dark!
Many of the guests dressed up in circus attire - it was awesome!
Roxy's gorgeous Mum.

While guests were treated to Tarot readings, tattoos, kissing booths and drinks in the sun, we snuck away for Roxy & Shaun's photos... of course I had to get a few of their two boys!

I have no idea why, but I quite like the rogue leg in this shot!

I'm really not sure about this... hahah... but its funny!!

While we were away... lots of tattooing and kissing going on!

The two Mums in the photbooth!  Seriously, if you are getting married these contraptions are worth their weight in gold!  People LOVE them - a perfect excuse to act the goat and get crazy.  And the best thing is you AND the guests get a copy of their photos!

Hello Handsome!

Ahh Roxy.  Completely stunning, elegant, amazingly beautiful woman.

And the flippin' amazing dress strikes again!

Love this.  That looks like a great cuddle!

Roxy had the most incredible earrings... one-of-a-kind apparently.  White gold and Swarovski crystals I believe she said.  Hopefully I got that right.  Anyway, I don't think she could have picked anything more fitting.  Gorgeous.

I had been dreaming about using the skulls in some photos... love this!

I mean seriously.  If I put a skull on my head I'd look like I was literally acting the goat (or whatever it happened to be in its former life!)  But not Roxy.  Roxy puts a skull on her head and looks like something straight out of a beauty magazine!
This could possibly be one of my favourite shots from the day.  I love Shaun's expression.. and the way Roxy looks so totally into him (of course, she is!).  And the grabbing of his jacket.  Perfect!

Had to include another couple of shots of their amazing cake.  I still can't figure out how it was made.. it had vertical stripes on the inside!

Once Roxy & Shaun were back it was time for some entertrainment!  Welcome Mr Pole Dancing amazing man!   Seriously - you can't NOT be in awe of the strength and agility required to do this.  A few photos just don't do it justice - incredible performer and performance.

And another act... this was CRAZY amazing... I didn't want to include any more photos as she was ... ahem... not fully dressed!  But basically... think of her wearing 6 inch steel waist belt and grinding through it with an angle grinder!  Nail biting, on-the-edge-of-your-seat-entertaining!

And of course the crowd LOVED it!

More costumes and amazing makeup!  I want my eye to look like this!

Everywhere you looked, amazing smiles and happy people having an awesome time!

And then.... a surprise for Roxy.  Shaun and his Brother and co. set up all their band equipment and did a rather hardcore version of "Roxanne" .  Gotta be honest.  Was pretty awesome.  Bonus brand new hubby points for Shaun!

Shaun's brother in epic singing action

And again... the crowd LOVED it!

Heh. heh. heh.  I do quite like to catch people photographing things.. especially themselves!
Roxy's awesome Mum got a tattoo to celebrate Roxy and Shaun's wedding date.  How cool is that!

Yep, I think Shaun is pretty lucky heh.  And there goes that awesome tie knot!

 GQ right there!

Amazing little hairpiece strikes again.  So cool.
As the reception began, people were treated to a number of awesome finds on their tables.  Each table had a different skull in a cloche, handmade candles and incredible old hardcovered books that Roxy had painstakingly turned into complete treasures.  She cut the insides out and replaced them with awesome crystals.  And rightly so, I reckon hers was the best.

Love this photo.  Love everything about it.

Apparently the books were useful for other things too!

Kefalonia by night.  It really is an awesome one-stop venue for a beautiful wedding.  I can see how it could lend itself to many different styles.  It was perfect for this one.

Total count of bearded ladies: 2.  !!!  That's a pretty awesome haul for any wedding I reckon.

Later in the evening as the light faded, we were treated to some flying fire antics by Ryn Hooligan - super cool!

So there you have it.  Two amazing people.. one amazing location... and a spectacular day with fun had by all.  Again, super stoked to have been asked to be part of it!

I would also like to thank the amazing Catherine from Catherine Cattanach Photography for second shooting part of the day for me!
