• Beautiful Frankie

Such a sweetheart. She was super alert and wanted to take in all the world around her.... but she was relaxed and happy so fine by me! She closed her eyes a few times once she was all snugged up.... Read More

  • A wee road trip..

Back in February I took the recently-turned-10 child to Taupo for a few days. Actually we weren't sure we were going to Taupo until we got there. We didn't have a reason to go anywhere, a place we needed to be, or any idea what fun we might strike along the way.Read More

Sugar and Spice and all things nice..... and gorillas and butterflies.

Today I caught up with a friend who I haven't seen for FAR too long.  She bought with her her adorable almost 4 year old Marlie, and a gorgeous new addition, Hazel (middle name: nut.  Just kidding).  Archie (Mr Gorilla) didn't come along this time as he was at school, but I'm secretly plotting the next round with all 3 of them!

Last time I saw these guys was the end of 2012!!  I almost couldn't believe it!  Here's a few photos from back then...

And a few from today.  Marlie has grown into a sweet and gorgeous little girl who would come and check in on Hazel, give her a bit of a pat and kiss and then toddle off to amuse herself quietly (inbetween "can I see your dogs? can I see your dogs?) Heh. Too cute!

And here is her gorgeous little birth announcement (I love doing these for newborn sessions!)

Tammy, Ryan, London & Bodhi

This is the second time I have photographed these guys - the first time was when London was born, so it was awesome to see him all grown up and to meet his gorgeous roly poly brother, Bodhi!

We did some family photos which were a hoot, and then a cake smash & bubble bath session for Bodhi since he was fast approaching the big ONE!

Enjoy!

Wellington Pet Photographer - Lower Hutt

I am now offering unique dog photography and pet photography -- it's true -- I have a large obsession with animals and a small obsession with human-ifying them.

Yes, I like to dress them up sometimes.  Put them in human chairs, put human hats on them.  They could even wear a wig (not made of human) or smoke a human pipe.  Or both.

I like natural style photos of your dogs and pets too and we can definitely do a completely simple natural session and love it!  The cute and funny stuff is really what makes my heart sing.

We can shoot in studio or outdoors - whatever you prefer and whatever your beloved dog is comfortable with.  I have a big fat green backyard which is perfect for dogs.  The river is a stones throw away too and I have been known to drag props out there for passers-by to chuckle at.

For cats and smaller pets I definitely recommend studio or in-home sessions.

Here is Miss Moose, looking pretty in pink, and commanding my unruly stack of suitcases.  Why?  Because its cute!!

To find out more, drop me an email - jane@photographybyjane.co.nz.   Pet packages start at $150.

Last weekend I photographed Marie who has the most beautiful thick red hair, and enough gorgeous freckles to make a Dalmation jealous.

Her sister Erin came along too, so I couldn't NOT photograph them both together!  I think I would have liked a sister growing up... but alas I had a big brother who just liked to tease and exclude me!  (I'm sure some of you can relate to that!)

Introducing Marie...

See what I mean about her hair!!! Stunning.

I LOVE this shot...

Marie and her sister Erin - equally as gorgeous

These are all taken in my beautiful green backyard..  I have another couple of $50 vouchers to give away, so if you'd like one, jump over to the website - Photography by Jane - and send a message through the contact page.

Kesiah

This stunning beauty came to visit me yesterday for some photos I had in mind.. I originally had an elaborate idea that I wanted to play out in photos, but for one reason or another we abandoned it and fell back on some simple, beautiful portraits.

And I'm glad we did - I love them.  Enjoy!
